the boss there...told us how to lie when
the state came for inspections, she lied to parents...
...most of that staff should not be working with kids because most of them
can't stand the children. etc.
Overall, the kids were not being treated very well.

I am a daycare teacher (the past 9
years). I have worked @ nationally known centers and smaller open concept
centers. They all break the rules and abuse in SOME form. I've seen teachers
swear or yank kids (one-year-olds) or just be kind to the parent's face,
then BOOM be evil. Daycares hire teachers wit NO experience, that just
bothers the c*** out of me.
NEVER NEVER NEVER will my children go to a daycare...I've seen too much,
I've heard too much, I just know too much.

I've got news for you folks. As a former
daycare worker, these establishments aren't fit for your dog to stay in let
alone your child. I don't care if your daycare is in Beverly Hills or some
podunk little town--most directors (particularly those of privately-owned
centers) only care about making money. Your kid's health, safety,
well-being, education, and socialization are the last things on their mind.
If you don't believe me, ask anyone who used to work in a daycare
environment.
Would you want to sit in an institutional environment 9 hours a day...? Why
do you put your kids through that agony?

Thanks for your time and effort in
creating this website.
I was a daycare worker for nearly a year
before I finally quit for moral reasons. I loved those babies, but due
to the lack to time, lack of discipline, and the large number of babies
there were, I just couldn't give them what they needed.
...Well, anyways, I just wanted to say I'm glad somebody has created a
website and that it's so easy to navigate.

I worked in a daycare off and on
throughout high school, and I'm sad to say that it was terrible. Now
that I'm a mommy, I look back at how those kiddoes were treated and feel
terrible. Not that I treated them terribly,
but just all around. The yelling, the ignoring,
the "stick 'em in front of the TV philosophy", etc, etc. And I
will do everything I can to keep my baby out of daycare.

I used to do Home Daycare.
...I think Daycares are wrong. Yes, I know some people can not avoid
using them, but that doesn't make them
(daycares) any better!
