It's the SAT scores, stupid!
by Dr. Laura Schlessinger,
29-Jul-02, WorldNetDaily.com |
...why in the world (do) these magazines call
themselves "parenting" magazines, since they uniformly support...all kinds
of childcare (daycare) options except parenting, i.e., raising
your own kids!

It's the SAT scores, stupid!
by Dr. Laura Schlessinger,
29-Jul-02
WorldNetDaily.com |
The July-August issue of Child Development
reported a Columbia University study of the verbal and cognitive development
of 3-year-old children. It revealed that those 3-year-olds whose
mothers worked a minimum of 30 hours a week before the child was nine months
old, scored lower than the children with stay-at-home moms. These same
children had been studied at 15, 24, and 36 months, but the significant
differential didn't show up until the last round of testing.

Rush Limbaugh, columnist and talk show
host, (said) Over the years (daycare advocates) have done everything they
can...to get women out of the house and put government workers in charge of
caring for their children... ...Well, according to a new study by Columbia
University (reported in the July/August issue of The Journal of Child
Development ), children of mothers who work full time before the infants
are nine months old have poorer mental and verbal development at age three
than those with stay-at-home mothers.

Statement on Child Care

realwomenca.com, 11-Oct-02 |
REAL
WOMEN OF CANADA does not support the concept of universally available,
government subsidized day care. Universal day care is an imposed government
plan of institutional care for children. Studies show that for young
children, the family setting is usually preferable.

Democrat senator praises bin
Laden by Art Moore,
WordNetDaily.com, 20-Dec-02 |
Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash...said...that
bin Laden* has been "out in these countries for
decades, building schools, building roads, building infrastructure,
building day care facilities
...and the
people are extremely grateful..."
(Amazingly, this U.S.
Senator was NOT defeated in the 2004 elections, even after she made this
blunder!)
*evil terrorist Osama
bin Laden, head of Al Queida, who murdered thousands of people on 9/11/2001
when his group bombed the 2 World Trade Center buildings in New York and the
Pentagon in Washington, D.C.
